Diversity, Equity & Inclusion
We strive to create a work environment where diversity is a core part of the culture within the Bank. By building an inclusive workforce here in the UK, we can leverage on the skills, ideas and talents and embed diversity into our journey over the coming years. Diversity is more than policies and procedures; it is an integral part of future operations and for the development of the Bank. Our purpose is to help make this happen.
“Our mission is to support the achievement of a level and equitable playing field at ABN AMRO UK, which recruits, retains and develops a talented and diverse workforce. Through UK DE&I, we will ensure that the bank upholds a culture and working environment where all colleagues feel included, valued, respected, and well-treated. We aim to foster allies and to celebrate everybody. We commit to leading initiatives and propagating a calendar of educational, social and inclusive events which build awareness, educate and empower all.”- Barry Garside, Head of Risk ABN AMRO UK and DE&I Senior Sponsor.
Because we wouldn’t have it any other way
ABN AMRO UK is proud to have been a signatory of the Women in Finance Charter since 2019. We are committed to creating an inclusive organisation to drive change for a fairer and more gender-balanced industry, ensuring gender parity across financial services.
In 2019, ABN AMRO UK became a signatory of the Women in Finance Charter, a government-backed initiative designed to improve gender diversity in senior management across the financial services sector. Upon signing in 2019 we had 23% female representation at senior management level. Since that time, we have gradually increased our target. For 2025 we aimed to maintain our target of 35% female representation within senior management by the deadline of 31 December. As of 30 September 2025, we exceeded our target with 40% representation at senior management meeting our 31 December target ahead of the required deadline.
We publish annual progress against this target on our website.
