Biography

Nicolas Mirjolet is a senior quantitative researcher at RAM Active Investments, he works together with the portfolio managers on the development of systematic investment strategies with a focus on extracting short- to mid-term market inefficiencies from a variety of data sources, and by combining robust portfolio construction approaches and trading cost optimisation techniques.

Nicolas Mirjolet has a long-standing expertise in developing and managing systematic long/short investment strategies. Prior to joining RAM AI in January 2019, Nicolas was co-founder and CIO of Tolomeo Capital, a Zurich-based systematic asset manager launched in 2011. As a portfolio manager, he built a successful 7-year track-record on the back of a range of proprietary short-term equity and futures trading strategies across US, European and Asian markets. Nicolas started his career in 2006 as a quant analyst for ETH Zurich spin-off Swissquant before joining 4 years later the quant and risk-management unit of a multi-billion family office in Zurich. Nicolas is a graduate of CentraleSupélec and the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich (MSc, Electrical Engineering, 2006). Nicolas speaks fluent German, French and English.
