This overview exhibition with the subtitle “Fragments from an unfinished novel” is an hommage to René Daniëls. The artist occupies a prominent place in the history of contemporary art from the latter half of the 20th century. The ABN AMRO art collection gave the work “De slag om de 20e eeuw” on loan to Wiels .

Corneille, his world

In November 1948, exactly 70 ago, the Cobra movement was founded by a.o. Karel Appel, Constant and Corneille. Stedelijk Museum Schiedam celebrates this anniversary with an overview exhibition of Corneille. The ABN AMRO art collection gave the work “Jardin” from 1952 on loan fort his exhibition.

Gerrit becomes 50 - Willem only 28, jubilee exhibition

Gerrit turns 50, Willem only 28 marks the anniversaries of the Gerrit Rietveld Academie and the Sandberg Instituut. An exhibition and public programme portray elements of the histories and communities of these educational institutes of fine arts and design. The ABN AMRO collection gave the series “Zonnebloemen” of artist Johannes Schwartz on loan fort his exhibition.

Out of Office: Art in Business

Out of Office will showcase the multifaceted range of Dutch art from 1945 to the present that is held in corporate collections. Art in Business is organised by Singer Laren in collaboration with the Netherlands Association of Corporate Art Collections (VBCN), and will offer a surprising overview of 75 years of Dutch art from corporate collections.

The ABN AMRO art collection will give several works on loan for this exhibition amongst others the work “The Passage” of Navid Nuur.

Cobra Art

On permanent display

Various works from the ABN AMRO collection are on permanent display in the Cobramuseum in Amstelveen. ABN AMRO has a special collection of works by Dutch Cobra such as Karel Appel, Constant and Lucebert. Several of them are out on long-term loan to the Cobramuseum, where they can be viewed.
