ABN AMRO lowers interest rates on retail savings accounts

ABN AMRO is lowering the interest rates paid on savings accounts as from 31 July. Clients have been informed of this change. The interest rate paid on the popular Capital Savings Account (Vermogensspaarrekening) will be lowered from 0.35% to 0.30%.

Interest paid on the flexible Direct Savings account (Direct Sparen), which offers instant access to deposits, will be lowered from 0.15% to 0.10%. Interest rates on other savings accounts, excluding the children’s account (KinderToekomst Spaarrekening) and the Royal Savings Account (Royaal Rekening), will be lowered by 5 basis points.
