Podcast: sustainable business models under the microscope #1

News item -

ABN AMRO wants to help its clients become more sustainable. That’s why Arnold and Jimmy discuss a different aspect of the energy transition every month in their podcast ‘The expert and the novice’. Jimmy Lange is incredibly curious, but his knowledge of physics and chemistry leave much to be desired. Fortunately, Arnold Mulder (Energy sector banker at ABN AMRO) can explain it all in great detail.

This month’s topic: battery storage. Arnold tells us that we’re tapping into more and more sustainable sources of energy. In fact, by 2030, 70 percent of the power we use will be generated by solar and wind energy. So we’ll have to store all of this energy somewhere. Battery storage is the most obvious solution, but there are some snags. Not only because of the technology required or because it needs to be financed; there are also legal problems. What are the ins and outs of this topic? Arnold illuminates us in this 10-minute podcast (Dutch).

Smarter and more sustainable

ABN AMRO wants to help its clients become more sustainable. One way we’re doing this is by financing sustainable initiatives in the energy transition, such as battery storage. This is how we hope to contribute to a smarter and more sustainable world through clean energy production – one of ABN AMRO’s key goals in the field of innovation for the coming years.
