The Extel Survey has named ABN AMRO the leading overall Benelux brokerage firm 2015. The annual survey results are based on responses from 18,000 investment professionals worldwide representing more than 2,600 buy-side firms. This year, ABN AMRO came in first, up from third position last year.
Over the years, the Extel Survey ranking has been recognised a quality standard that measures the performance of parties operating in the international equity markets. ABN AMRO has taken the overall number one position in the Benelux region and has climbed the rankings in every Benelux subcategory. The equity research team has moved from third to second place, the sales team is in first position, like last year, and sales trading has held onto its position, taking third place. Corporate access (road shows and conferences) moved up from spot three to top spot.
Best individual performances were awarded to Mutlu Gundogan (3rd place Research), Bram Fiselier (2nd place sales) and Daam-Martijn van Holst (2nd position sales trading). In addition to facilitating equity trading for institutional investors, the services offered by ABN AMRO Capital Markets Solutions include equity research, corporate access, investment advice, corporate broking and the execution of capital market transactions.
Confirmation strong position
“We are proud of this result. It’s testimony to the excellent performance we have achieved and an honour that investors from all corners of the globe consider ABN AMRO to be the leading Benelux broker. During the past five years, we’ve performed extremely well in equity franchise. This award is confirmation of the strong position we have built up,” says Ferdinand Vaandrager, Head of Market Sales at ABN AMRO.
