On 18 April 2016, Johan van Hall, Vice-Chairman of ABN AMRO’s Managing Board, sat down with Evert van Os, General Manager of the Singer Museum in Laren, to sign a renewed lead sponsor contract, reaffirming a relationship that has lasted over 25 years.
Following the official event, ABN AMRO treated its guests to a performance by brothers and pianists Lucas and Arthur Jussen. The museum’s director Jan Rudolph de Lorm gave a speech introducing the exhibition titled French Modernists – an exchange with the Musée d’art moderne de Troyes. A day before the official opening, the guests were given a sneak peek.
Evert van Os said: “I am extremely pleased and proud that ABN AMRO, a lead sponsor since 1990, has reaffirmed its choice for long-term cooperation with the Singer Museum in Laren. By doing so, ABN AMRO expresses confidence in our exhibitions, theatre programmes, the construction of the new theatre and other activities, which is fantastic news for us, a virtually non-subsidised cultural institution.”
Johan van Hall added: “ABN AMRO and culture have a long and successful history together. Our sponsoring ensures that art, music, design and theatre reach the widest possible audience. Our long-standing relationship goes beyond just sponsoring, however. We want to be a partner to the Singer Museum and share our know-how and our network. So we are pleased to be able to say that we have just renewed our long-term commitment to cooperation with Singer.”
