ABN AMRO lowers savings rates

News item -

On 1 November 2019, ABN AMRO will cut interest rates on savings accounts and inform clients about this. Rates on its freely accessible Direct Savings Account (Direct Sparen) will go down to 0.01% from 0.02%.

From that date, interest paid on its popular Capital Savings Account (Vermogens Spaarrekening) will total 0.01%, down from 0.03% previously. These and other personal savings ratesĀ  can be found at the interest rate webpage.

These rate reductions reflect the persistent negative rates in the money markets and low capital market rates.
