Offering additional service through partnerships

News item -

ABN AMRO Commercial Banking is looking to offer extra added value to entrepreneurs by entering into partnerships, having agreed various partnerships in the past twelve months and aiming to lock in more.

Clients of ABN AMRO Commercial Banking increasingly decide how they would like to be served by the bank – doing as much as possible themselves or plumping for an advisory relationship, for instance. Both are possible, and clients can obtain additional services through both channels, either online or via their relationship managers.

Supporting entrepreneurs

Daphne de Kluis, CEO of Commercial Banking, comments: “We aim to support our clients in various areas, and not just in the financial arena with these partnerships. We want to be there for them in related areas, too, and offer them additional expertise and convenience.

“One good example is our collaboration with Lyanthe. Together, we’ve developed an accounting proposition that combines accounting and banking into a virtually seamless service. Our partnerships with VraagHugo and Firm24 also come to mind. An entrepreneur who has to take care of legal stuff or who’s considering setting up a Dutch private limited company (BV) will have quite a bit of digging to do, and this often isn’t what they went into business for – partners such as VraagHugo and Firm24 offer easy and online solutions, such as the generation of online legal contracts, such as employment agreements.”

Networks

Opening up networks and connecting people is also very important to entrepreneurs, particularly if a business wants to grow – which is why ABN AMRO signed a partnership with Opportunity Network a little under a year ago. Opportunity Network offers a digital platform for Dutch entrepreneurs to connect and network with thousands of companies in Europe and across the world – buying and selling goods, for instance, but also business development, collaborative ventures or acquisitions. By now, several hundreds of the bank’s clients are active in the network.

Daphne de Kluis notes: “Clients can benefit from our financial and sector expertise both online and via our advisory channel, and partnerships help us to create additional services and advisory options from our trusted channels.”

ABN AMRO’s service model will continue to develop going forward, with freedom of choice and flexibility taking centre stage – as will adding value through partnerships in all areas of the ABN AMRO strategy.

Insight in sustainability opportunities

Commercial Banking provides insight into greening opportunities to clients, for instance in the shape of tools that help clients investigate the possibilities of making their real estate more sustainable. Here too, the bank is teaming up with partners to explore additional solutions.

Daphne de Kluis notes: “Clients can benefit from our financial and sector expertise both online and via our advisory channel, and partnerships help us to create additional services and advisory options from our trusted channels.”
