The Week Ahead - 23 - 27 March 2026

Eurozone - Comments will be closely watched by markets from the ECB’s Lane (Monday) and Sleijpen (Tuesday) as well as a number of Governing Council members at the ECB and its Watchers conference on Wednesday. In terms of data, the flash PMIs and the German IFO are the main reports to watch. It is probably too soon to see a significant impact of the Iran conflict, but within the sub-indices of the PMIs we may already see some expectation of cost pressures from the rise in energy prices.
