Hans Peter Roel
In my free time I write books about themes from my work: innovation, creativity and human behaviour.
I learned about marketing in the nine years I spent at Audi. After that, I moved over to ABN AMRO. Since I've been here, I've worked among other things on the development of Preferred Banking and Charitas Banking.
I help businesses that bank with ABN AMRO MeesPierson, and I also do the marketing for the highest net worth personal customers. I want to know what drives people, seek out opportunities in the market, predict consumer behaviour and try to gain a competitive edge.
For more than 15 years I've been writing from my self-made writing shed in the garden: children's books, management books and books on personal growth. I'm most proud of the successful children’s book that I wrote together with my son.
Every morning before I go to the office, I do a bit of writing on a new book. It's only after that that my day really begins: lots of discussions, making proposals and working out details. This week, for example, I tabled a proposal in our team for a new autumn campaign for Private Banking.
